Mets Trade A.J. Minter To Twins

The Twins added some needed bullpen help Friday morning, formally announcing the acquisition of left-hander A.J. Minter from the Mets in exchange for minor league infielders Billy Amick and Bruin Agbayani. Right-hander Cole Sands, who’s set to undergo season-ending elbow surgery, moves from the 15-day IL to the 60-day IL to create a spot on the 40-man roster. Minnesota is reportedly taking on the remainder of Minter’s $11MM salary — about $3.37MM. He’ll be a free agent at
