Women’s boxing champion Amanda Serrano set for Combate Americas debut

The migration of world-class women’s boxers over to mixed martial arts continues.
Five-weight-class champion Amanda Serrano will make her pro MMA debut in Los Angeles on April 13 as part of the Combate Americas event “Combate Estrellas I.”
Serrano, a native of Puerto Rico who is based in Brooklyn, N.Y., is the current WBO bantamweight champ. She’s also held belts at super bantamweight, featherweight, super featherweight and lightweight. Her boxing record is 34-1-1.
