Peter Yan signed with the UFC after an impressive career in the Russian scene and was matched up against Teruto Ishihara at Saturday’s UFC Singapore, and made quick work of the Japanese bantamweight.
Speaking with MMA Fighting prior to the bout, Yan said he felt the UFC wanted to “get rid” of Ishihara by booking him against the former ACB champion. When both stepped inside the Octagon, Yan knocked Ishihara down twice and forced the referee to end
