UFC Releases Seven Fighters, More Cuts Expected

The UFC has made seven cuts already this weekend, and a total of 50 are expected before Monday. Christos Giagos, Chris Clements, Matt Van Buren, Roger Narvaez, Marcus Brimage, and Eddie Gordon have all been released from the company.Giagos mentioned on his Instagram account that the UFC told him the reason he was being cut was because “they are overbooked and had to make some cuts.” The organization currently has around 560 fighters under contract.
