The Buffalo Sabres late this afternoon named Lindy Ruff, the franchise’s all-time leader in wins, head coach. After the Sabres fired coach Don Granato on Tuesday, there was speculation general manager Kevyn Adams, who wanted an experienced NHL coach, would hire Ruff. Ruff, 64, is the fifth-winningest coach in NHL history. He coached the Sabres from 1997-98 until early in 2012-13, leading them to the Stanley Cup final in 1999. The New Jersey Devils fired ...
