The Boston Bruins struck first against the Washington Capitals on Saturday night.
Boston welcomed the Capitals to the TD Garden, and proceeded to light the lamp first as Charlie Coyle scored for the second straight-game at 11:32 into the first period for an early 1-0 lead.
The Bruins are coming off a confidence-boosting win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday night.
