Marcus Smart Declines $5.4M Option With Lakers

Marcus Smart has declined his $5.4 million player option with the Los Angeles Lakers to become an unrestricted free agent.
Smart has been linked with interest from the Houston Rockets this offseason where he would reunite with Ime Udoka.
Smart appeared in 62 games with the Lakers last season, averaging 9.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 28.5 minutes in a bounce back season.
