Amen Thompson, Rockets reportedly work out 5-year, $208M extension

The Houston Rockets and Amen Thompson have reportedly agreed to a five-year, $208 million contract extension, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.The extension for Thompson, the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, also includes a 10% trade kicker. He is entering the final season of a four-year rookie scale contract he signed in 2023 and will earn $12.3 million this season with his new deal kicking in next summer.Thompson, 23, can play guard and forward.
