Area families celebrate free fishing day

The Bridger-Teton National Forest, Wyoming Game and Fish Department and Town of Afton hosted a free fishing day for area youth on Saturday, June 3. The event took place at the Star Valley View Golf Course from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to information provided by the Forest Service, the pond was stocked with 110 fish, 10 “big ones and 100 smaller fish.”
U.S. Forest Service staff were on hand to assist
young people with baiting hooks, casting and unhooking fish.
