Herring runs for mayor of Barre

BARRE — Lucas Herring, a city council member, is running for mayor. He made the announcement at a press conference at the American Legion Post in Barre Tuesday.
Herring is the first to make a bid a run for the seat since longtime Barre City Mayor Thom Lauzon said he was unlikely to seek another term.
