Ben White: Why do we make this so hard?

Two pounds, eight ounces. That’s how much my younger daughter weighed when she was born 10 weeks early. Babies at that gestation are covered in fine hair. She looked more like a baby duck than a human. She spent six weeks in the NICU before she came home – at a whopping 4 pounds 10 ounces.
