Zion trail closed by mudslide to be repaired with $1M grant

ZION NATIONAL PARK — A popular trail closed by a large mudslide several years ago will get be repaired with a $1 million grant.The Salt Lake City-based Eccles Foundation awarded the grant to the National Park Foundation on Tuesday to repair the Middle Emerald Pools Trail, which has been closed since December 2010 after severe rain storms caused a large mud slide.Eccles Foundation officials say in a statement it's an example of how the private sector can help restore the country's national
