West Valley man charged in September shooting

WEST VALLEY CITY — Criminal charges were filed Wednesday against a West Valley man believed to be responsible for a shooting in September.
Mario Manuel Ruiz, 30, is charged in 3rd District Court with firing a gun causing serious injury and aggravated robbery, both first-degree felonies; plus aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a restricted person, second-degree felonies.
