W. Jordan taking applications for Citizen Police Academy

WEST JORDAN — The city's police department is gearing up for its next session of the Citizen Police Academy in January.
The free course runs for 11 weeks. The three-hour classes are held once starting at 6 p.m. at the West Jordan Justice Center Community Room, 8040 S. Redwood Road.
Participants will get an inside look at how the police department works and learn about different aspects of police work, including firearm safety, crime scene investigation, K-9, crime prevention and defensive
