Utah State Parks’ Military Appreciation Day is Aug. 12

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Division of Parks and Recreation has announced its third annual Military Appreciation Day is set for Saturday, Aug. 12.As part of the celebration, all active military, veterans and their families in the same vehicle will be allowed free day-use access to 43 state parks, except for This Is the Place Heritage Park.In addition, many of the parks will also be hosting special events, including pancake breakfasts, 5K races, flag ceremonies, canoe rentals, disc golf tour
