Tax hearing for Riverton law enforcement set for Nov. 14

RIVERTON — The public is invited to a hearing on proposed property tax increases for the newly created Riverton Law Enforcement Service Area.
The district was created to collect property taxes to pay for law enforcement services after the city withdrew from the Salt Lake Valley Law Enforcement Service Area. Police services will still be provided by the Unified Police Department.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Riverton City Hall, 12830 S. 1700 West.
