'Stupid human tricks' caused hundreds of wildfires in Utah, state forester says

SALT LAKE CITY — The state forester Tuesday attributed "stupid human tricks" to the "abysmally high" number of wildfires ignited by people in Utah this year.There have been 397 human-caused fires on state and private land through early August, said Brian Cottam, director of the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands.
