Some residents get to go home as crews make progress on Uintah Fire

UINTAH, Weber County — Evacuation orders for neighborhoods affected by the Uintah Fire were slowly lifted in some areas Wednesday afternoon.By 2:30 p.m., mandatory evacuation orders for Spring Canyon Road, Melanie Lane, and Osmond Drive were lifted, as well as for residents along 6025 South, 2900 East and 2925 East.The orders were lifted as crews made good progress on the fire Wednesday, thanks in part to cooperative weather.
