Search scaled back for missing Arizona hiker

SALT LAKE CITY — A week after a 74-year-old hiker failed to return from a day trip in the Uinta Mountains, search crews are scaling back efforts to find him.Volunteers helping Summit County teams look for Melvin Heaps, of Arizona, said Monday on Facebook they would be ready to help again if new information becomes available.The Summit County Sheriff's Office also is pulling back, saying it will continue to search but with fewer resources.
