Salt Lake police collecting books for 2 elementary schools

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department is collecting books for students at Backman and Medowlark elementaries through Sunday.
Donations of new or gently used books will be accepted at the Salt Lake City-County Building, 451 S. State; the Salt Lake Public Safety Building, 475 S. 300 East; the police department's Pioneer Precinct, 1040 W. 700 South; and the Salt Lake Main Library, 210 E. 400 South.
