Salt Lake City Fire Department gets new engine for Christmas

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Fire Department this week put into service a new pumper truck at Station No. 2, located at 270 W. 300 North.
Engine 2, a 2017 Pierce Arrow XT, will primarily serve the downtown, Marmalade, Capitol Hill and Rio Grande areas.
The custom-built engine features a 1,500-gallon-per minute pump and a 500-gallon water tank. In addition, it carries approximately 1,000 feet of supply hose and 1,750 feet of attack hose. It is a paramedic engine and has compartment s
