Police: Woman, 75, dies after struck by car in Layton

LAYTON — A 75-year-old woman has died after a driver failed to see her in the road about 5 p.m. Friday, police reported.
The woman, whose name has not been released pending notification of family, was hit near 700 North and Main Street in Layton, said Layton Police Sgt. Paul Gardiner.
The woman was unconscious when crews arrived, Gardiner said. She was brought by ambulance to Davis Hospital and then flown to another hospital in critical condition. She died of her injuries.
