Police issue warning following alleged sexual assault in Alpine

ALPINE — A woman who was walking across a church parking lot Sunday was attacked and sexually assaulted here Sunday, according to police.
The woman was walking about 4 a.m. in the area of North Heritage Hills Drive "when she was approached from behind by an adult male. It was reported that the subject brandished a knife and took the victim behind a dumpster, where the assault occurred," according to a statement from the Lone Peak Police Department.
