Photos: Workers prep pets rescued from Harvey for adoption

Foster pet parent Kelsey Estrada holds dogs at Utah’s Animal Care Center in West Bountiful on Sunday. The homeless animals rescued from Hurricane Harvey were vaccinated and spayed or neutered and will be adopted locally. A large number of dogs and cats were recently transported to Utah from Texas by the Community Animal Welfare Society in order to create room in Texas shelters for animals displaced by the hurricane as they wait to be reunited with families.
