Photos: School dinner provides sweet start to holiday weekend

Lissandro Cervantes gets a cookie at the inaugural Dinner at the Park, hosted by Granite Park Junior High on Friday. Salad, spaghetti and sweets made the menu for several dinner guests and their parents at the gathering in South Salt Lake. A spokesman for Granite School District said the event was geared at families of the 9 in 10 Granite Park students who qualify for free and reduced-price school lunches.
