Orem police respond to shooting

OREM — Police are responding to a shooting in the area of 500 East and 1800 South.Orem Police Lt. Craig Martinez said officers were called just after 1:30 p.m. One man has been taken to a local hospital, he said. His condition was not immediately known.Police say the area surrounding the shooting is "safe" and that there are no outstanding suspects.Additional details were expected to be released soon.
