New program aims to give senior citizens a lift

PROVOUtah Valley Rides, a program that provides reliable transportation to senior citizens and people with disabilities in Provo and Orem, is rolling forward.
The program, which was 20 years in the making, allows qualifying participants to schedule rides to the doctor's office, grocery store or anywhere else they need to go. Rides are available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and vans are equipped to transport passengers with mobility devices.
