New crosswalk signal in Syracuse to be activated Friday

SYRACUSE — The Utah Department of Transportation will activate a new crosswalk signal on 2000 West at Syracuse Elementary and Syracuse Junior High on Friday.The High-Intensity Activated Crosswalk, or HAWK, was installed as part of road reconstruction project between Antelope Drive and 300 North in Syracuse and West Point.The signal aims to improve safety for students accessing the two school, as well as other pedestrians and bikers.
