Man killed in West Valley auto-pedestrian accident

WEST VALLEY CITY — A man died in an auto-pedestrian accident Saturday evening, West Valley police reported.
Officers responded to the accident near an intersection at 3100 South and 3600 West around 7:50 p.m. A pedestrian crossing the road at a crosswalk was struck by a vehicle driving east on 3100 South, said West Valley Police Lt. Amy Maurer.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Maurer said. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
