Man arrested in brutal assault of Orem girlfriend

OREM — Police arrested a Springville man who they say severely injured his girlfriend in a brutal assault and then left her not knowing if she was dead or alive.
Kevin Paul Rieske, 28, was arrested Sunday for investigation of attempted murder, aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury, obstruction of justice and assault on a police officer.
