Lone Peak Fire District gets new chief

HIGHLAND — The Lone Peak Public Safety Board has appointed Reed Thompson to be the new chief of the Lone Peak Fire District beginning Friday, Dec. 29.
Thompson, who grew up in Highland, has been in the fire service for nearly 20 years, including 12 years in American Fork and 10 in South Jordan. For the past 18 months he has served as the deputy chief in South Jordan.
