Layton man sentenced to prison for shooting roommate after fight

FARMINGTON — A Layton man who admitted to shooting and killing his roommate after a fight has been sentenced to prison.
Christopher Scott Fritz, 21, was sentenced to at least 15 years and up to life in prison for the death of his roommate, 24-year-old Taylor Vancamp. Fritz pleaded guilty in November to murder, a first-degree felony, in exchange for a dismissal of a weapons enhancement on the charge.
