Grand Hotel lighting the way to energy savings

A chandelier hangs in The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City on Thursday, where 24,000 light bulbs throughout the hotel were replaced to cut back on energy demand. The hotel invested $550,000, of which Rocky Mountain Power provided $251,596 in wattsmart Business incentives, resulting in annual savings of 2.6 million kilowatt-hours of energy, which is equivalent to the energy needed to power nearly 300 average-size homes.
