Fire in Box Elder County burns 1,800 acres

ETNA, Box Elder County — Six structures were saved from a fire in Etna that burned about 1,800 acres Saturday afternoon.The fire, which started around 1 p.m. near Grouse Creek Road in northwest Utah, presented a challenge for firefighters as flames spread uphill and eventually split into two directions. High winds continued to shift the direction of the fire, making it difficult for the crew of 25 firefighters to get ahead of the flames and contain it, according to Mitch Zundel, economic d
