Fatal West Jordan fire may have been caused by natural gas blast

WEST JORDAN — West Jordan fire investigators believe a gas stove may be responsible for an explosion and large fire that killed one woman and injured two others Sunday.Judy Pedersen, 66, was found dead in her condominium, 1370 W. 6690 South, where investigators believe Sunday's large fire started."A knob on the gas stove in her unit was found in the 'on' position. Witnesses in the unit above stated they felt an explosion below them," said West Jordan Deputy Fire Chief Reed Scharman.What ig
