Fatal accident closes I-15 offramp at 600 South

SALT LAKE CITY — The I-15 northbound exit at 600 South was closed Wednesday morning because of a fatal auto-pedestrian accident.Police said a woman was crossing the street near 500 West when a vehicle exiting the freeway on 600 South hit her around 6:30 a.m.She was pronounced dead on the scene.The 600 South ramp was expected to remain closed from I-15 and I-80 for up to three hours.The I-15 400 South off ramp was open to all vehicles.This report will be updated as more information becomes
