Boy injured in accidental shooting released from hospital

CENTERVILLE — A 9-year-old boy injured in an accidental shooting in Centerville on Saturday has been released from the hospital.
The boy, who was shot near his shoulder, returned home Tuesday, said assistant Centerville Police Chief Von Steenblik. Due to where the bullet was lodged, doctors opted to leave it for now and did not have to do surgery on the boy, he said.
