Bluffdale man charged with beating woman for 6 hours

WEST JORDANA Bluffdale man was charged Tuesday with kidnapping his estranged girlfriend and severely beating her for hours, causing disfiguration to her face.
Timothy James Peterson, 35, is charged in 3rd District Court with aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony; aggravated assault and mayhem, second-degree felonies; and failing to stop at the command of a law enforcer, a class A misdemeanor.
