BLM seeking nominations for advisory councils

SALT LAKE CITY — The Bureau of Land Management is seeking nominations for open positions on 17 of its 36 resource advisory councils. Applications will be accepted until Dec. 1.
The councils, which are composed of residents chosen for their expertise in natural resource issues, help the bureau carry out its stewardship of 245 million acres of public lands.
Each council consists of 10 to 15 members. Individuals may nominate themselves or others. Nominees, who must be residents of the state o
