Algae outbreak infects Weber County pond, scum plagues other lakes

Ogden's 21st Street Pond is the latest victim of this summer's prolonged outbreak of blue-green algae, or cyanobacteria, as warm temperatures hang on under stagnant conditions. Lawmakers are planning to tour the infested Utah Lake on Wednesday.
