5 killed in head-on crash in Iron County

NEWCASTLE, Iron County — Five people were killed in a head-on collision near Newcastle on Saturday, according to Utah Highway Patrol.
An SUV traveling west on state Route 56 collided with another SUV heading east around 4:30 p.m., the UHP reported. The driver in one SUV and four occupants in the other vehicle died in the accident.
There is no cellphone service in the area of the crash, officials said.
