16-year-old shot in South Salt Lake dies

SOUTH SALT LAKE — A 16-year-old boy shot on a South Salt Lake sidewalk Tuesday has died.South Salt Lake police confirmed that the boy, whose name was not immediately released pending notification of extended family, passed away just after midnight Wednesday.The boy was shot just after 4 p.m. Tuesday near 300 East and 3100 South, according to police.
