1 dead in single-car crash in Provo Canyon

OREM — One person has died in a car crash near the mouth of Provo Canyon.No other vehicles were involved in the accident that happened about 3:30 p.m. on the 800 North ramp onto eastbound U.S. 189, Orem police said via Twitter.The crash snarled Friday evening traffic, and Orem police urged drivers to take alternate routes until 7:30 p.m.Further details were not immediately available.
