Why you aren't being notified of broken fire hydrants in Tucson

Tucson Water says that the Tucson Fire Department is prepared for broken hydrants. Crews come with 800 feet of hose on their trucks so that if one hydrant isn’t working, their hose can reach any of three other fire hydrants near the broken one. On top of that, they bring their own water to a fire.
