WHO warns new Ebola outbreak in Congo faces funding gap

BRAZZAVILLE, Republic of Congo (AP) — The World Health Organization is warning that money to tackle a new outbreak of Ebola in Congo could run out within weeks. The funding shortfall announced Tuesday comes as countries around the globe battle the COVID-19 pandemic. WHO said the $1.75 million raised so far for the Ebola outbreak in Congo’s northern Equateur province will only last for a few more weeks. Already there have been 53 confirmed cases
