What primed California for November 2018 fires

TUCSON – For the second straight year, multiple wildfires scorched large swaths of California.
There’s a few factors that fueled the flames this month. For starters, California suffered through an abnormally dry water year. Because winter is generally wetter across the west versus the rest of the country, NOAA defines the “water year” as October through September.
