Violence in the emergency room

 New research show violence in the emergency room is on the rise.
A new poll show nearly half of physicians reported being physically assaulted at work. The violent offenders were mainly patients. A third reported being injured due to being hit, punched, slapped, kicked, or even spit on.
Over 77% of those polled say patient care is being affected, due to the violence. Nearly half of the physicians say hospitals can do more to prevent violence, including increasing security.
