UArizona launches stewards program to help protect Tumamoc

TUCSON – With the mission of protecting Tumamoc Hill, the University of Arizona is launching a new program and asking for the communities’ help.Tumamoc Stewards, or Guardianes de Tumamoc, will help “maintain the integrity of the iconic site,” the university said in a news release.According to UArizona, more than 1,000 people visit the hill every day.“Tumamoc Hill is a community gathering spot,” said Ben Wilder, director of the Desert Laboratory on Tumamoc
