UA students to be charged over Border Patrol confrontation
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Two University of Arizona students will face charges stemming from a confrontation with Border Patrol agents visiting the Tucson campus.
In a statement to the campus community last week, UA President Robert Robbins said campus police will charge the students with interference with the peaceful conduct of an educational institution, a misdemeanor offense.
The Criminal Justice Association had invited U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers to come speak March 19.
