Turner, Jacksonville run over NAIA-Ave Maria, 42-28

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Calvin Turner Jr. ran for 145 yards and two touchdowns and running back B.J. Riley fired a 69-yard touchdown bomb to Mitchell Bailey as Jacksonville cruised past Ave Maria, an in-state, private NAIA school, 42-28 in a nonconference game Saturday afternoon.
Riley’s touchdown pass came on the second play from scrimmage less than a minute into the game and Turner darted 57 yards for the Dolphins’ second touchdown four minutes later.
